Operation COVID 19
Food delivery
Due to the current contingency, YGO has joined the humanitarian aid and we have created a food supply system for families who have affected by COVID 19, this includes those who have become unemployed and have no fixed income, people who do not have the resources to buy what they need for their covid protection. Currently between March 23 and July 23 we have delivered 10,000 bags of pantries throughout the state of Yucatan, benefiting over 40,000 people. Our pantries support 4 or 5 people for 5 days at a cost of $133 pesos; this has carried out in different parts of the state of Yucatan.
Provision of protective equipment
As the pandemic affected our state, we realized the lack of protective equipment in the hospitals that are at the forefront of the fight with COVID 19, so about 800 masks and 350 N95 pieces have been distributed to health personnel, as well as to different children’s homes. YGO has been very successful in its fight against this pandemic and we know that it is not over yet, so we continue to raise funds to be able to help more and protect the most vulnerable families as well as our health heroes who find themselves exposed to the front lines of this struggle
