Season of Sharing

The Season of Sharing, which is the main component of the Yucatan Giving Outreach A.C. a nonprofit foundation’s fund raising element has had it official kick off to year #4 this week. The volunteer based organization managed by Kimmy Suki and Dave Omer Dodge has held initial meetings over the past few weeks, finalizing the details for another exciting season.

Yucatan Giving Outreach A.C. a nonprofit foundation is pleased to announce that the YGO Community Breakfast will be returning and held October 29th 2019 at the historical Fiesta Americana hotel.  This year along with our wonderful table captains, Cindy Morrissey and Patti Rogers we will be event co-chairs to spear-head the campaign and fundraising activities for this fun and important morning.

Also on the horizon is the Chicas for Charity Polo Tournament that will be returning on Saturday, November 23rd at the Yucatan Polo Club. With record breaking crowds each year, this event has been a favorite to our supporters. The Polo matches are just an element of what to expect. The signature Hat Contest will return as “Too Hot to Trot” showcasing the creative skills of anyone that wants to participate. The return of the over-the-top Fashion Show, the “Giant Silent Auction,” a food court and of course our favorite cocktails and a champagne bar. Stay tuned for more details.

Our last event in the official series of sanctioned fund raisers will be 3rd annual Toys for Joy Holiday Gift Drive on Sunday, December 15th at Ochenta y Dos in Centro.  This year’s event will be featuring a live entertainment, dancing under the stars, treats in an Asian patio, along with an Italian Bistro served Al Fresco and lots of fun with new and old friends.  YGO will be wrapping the season this evening and drawing the winner of the 50/50 cash raffle that will have been present throughout all the events.

We will be offering “Sponsorship Opportunities” to our loyal sponsors in the next few days and very happy to say we have many returning for this year’s season. The marketing will be revamped with more exposure for sponsors as well as a combo pack of tickets available for purchase to all events for everyone.YGO is a volunteer based organization with only one paid employee at the “YGO Resale Store & Food Pantry”. Our volunteers are masters at creating effective and meaningful events. This year we are hoping for a 75% ROI on a 25% investment. Our committee would like the proceeds to be returned back into the community as quickly as possible.  We have an aggressive goal this season.

$ 1,000,000 pesos is our challenge for SOS, these funds will support all the programs, clients and projects of YGO for the upcoming year.

Please don’t forget our “YGO Resale Store & Food Pantry” in Itzimna for donations of gently used items or to purchase newly discovered treasures.  #bethebranch
